Tong Zhang

Young tenor, Master of Juilliard School, studied under Darell Babidge, Director of Vocal Department, Li Yi, a tenor singer living in the United States, and Wei Fugen, a pianist and artistic director. Graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, studied under baritone singer Shi Heng.

Performances：
- May 2024: Selected by China’s Ministry of Culture to represent Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the Algiers International Symphony Concert held at the Algiers Opera House. Performed as tenor soloist alongside conductor Xieyang Chen, mezzo-soprano Muya Wen, the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, and the Algerian National Symphony Orchestra.
- 2023 & 2022: Guest soloist at the Shanghai Contemporary Music Festival symphonic concerts; performed World Expo theme songs To the Expo and Promise You
- 2020 & 2023: Tenor soloist in the 80th and 85th Anniversary Concerts of Yellow River Cantata at Shanghai Oriental Art Center and Suzhou Jinji Lake Concert Hall; sang Dialogue by the Riverbank
- Participated in over 10-city touring concerts celebrating the 10th and 15th anniversaries of baritone Heng Shi’s return to China
- Guest tenor soloist in Bel Canto in the Forest concerts (National Arts Fund Project), performed in Yangzhou and Taixing
